Sansa® Clip™ Warrants Zero Problems While Scaling Everest with INSPI(RED)

On April 5, 2008 the Everest Team INSPI(RED) began their philanthropic expedition to the top of Mount Everest to raise awareness of the (RED)™ campaign. Along for the trek to the top of the world is the Sansa® Clip™ MP3 player.

Weather is extreme on Everest and at 8,000 feet the team entered what is known as the "Death Zone," an area where frostbite happens instantly and respirators are needed to prevent oxygen deprivation. On April 10, 2008 the team reported their location at the half-way point, just over 16,000 feet, and their Sansa® Clips™ have kept working without a hiccup.

In the world's worst conditions it's astounding that any electronic devices would be working, but this is an MP3 player that starts at just $40!

The three-member INSPI(RED) team has been using their Sansa® Clips throughout the journey not only for entertainment, but also as a tool to document their voyage. The Sansa® Clip's built-in microphone has come in handy to record their experiences while scaling the 29,000 ft. peek.

The performance of the Sansa® Clip™ on Mount Everest is simply astonishing. Clip users can rest assured that inclement weather conditions will no falter their tiny MP3 player.

Founded by Bono and Bobby Shiver, the (RED)™ campaign was created to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund. This money helps women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. Learn more at the (RED)™ campaign web site. http://www.joinred.com/red/.
